Johnson 970 Motors
Anyone have any info. on these motors. I head they are good motors with lots oftorque. Is it true they make 2 types of this motor, a low RPM version, and a high RPM version?
|
RE: Johnson 970 Motors
Have a look here.
http://www.harbormodels.com/site08/motors.htm Only one type of this motor. If you look you can see two different sets of specs for it some at 6V others at 12V. |

Apismelifera,
What models have/do you run them in? Bob
|
RE: Johnson 970 Motors
The motors are for a future Tug build, still in the design phase. I'm not yet satisfied with the shape of the frames yet. This will be a freelance build. Just going to make it so it looks good to me and I'll be happy. Short, wide, with a big back porch. I want it to look like an old steamer converted to a live-a-board. Maybe even some shorts hanging of the antenna drying in the breeze.

John,
That sounds like an interesting build. With two motors I guess it's going to be 36" to 40" in length. Will you do a build log after you're satisfied with the plans? Bob |

I will definitely be doing a build log on it when I'm ready to start.
