Atlantic Tug on 12v?

Hey,

I picked up an Atlantic tug to use as a retreival boat. I am thinking about running a 12 volt motorcycle battery in it. I will most likely eventually upgrade to a larger prop and not sure a 6 volt system will give me enough power. My other option is running a 2S or 3S lipo and had a bunch of ballast.

What do you guys think?

the original system that comes in the boat is plenty enough to do retrievels.

Avoid motor cycle batteries in boats.  Over time, they tend to vent fumes.  OK on a bike, there is ventilation, not OK on a boat.
