Shengking Build - gloos, semi-gloss, flat

The hull is beginning to get close, I put on a coat of primer followed by sealer to look for imperfections - found them of course! Anyway, this is a 1930 passenger/cargo ship, and I was wondering if the hull should be flat, semi-gloss, gloss. One person suggested waxing, but I have no idea what type of wax/proper application. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

I think it was said once that gloss is too much, flat is for military vessels and so semi-gloss (satin) would look best scale-wise for a commercial vessel. Thing is, very glossy vessels would eventually oxidize from sun, salt exposure losing a great deal of shininess. The underwater hull is certainly going to wear differently so I think a flat/matte finish is in order there.

I was thinking about a satin/flat combination. I'll try it and see how it looks. Someone once said, "there's nothing made out of wood that can't be fixed"...

Sounds good to me. And wood is a wonderful medium of course.
