Default Fasteners for Thor Design USS Sturgeon

I am trying to find out the best way to secure the upper hull half of the USS Sturgeon to the lower half. We drilled some holes in the upper half large enough to insert flat head stainless steel screws. We drilled 4 holes and epoxied four nuts into the lower hull to receive the screw. All worked well until we dived the sub and the screw head pulled through the upper half. Am opened to any suggestions on how to reliably secure the two halves of the hull

What works good is riveting clamps onto the lower hull that will fit the WTC by screwing them together. It holds strong and looks a lot more sturdy than the rubber band thing they recommend. I have a picture of the clamps in my gallery.
