double check if battery is charged, and were you in dirty water, if you were take a air hose and blow the lines out very carfurely.

G'day Bryan,I had already pulled the pump out and tested it and the lines are clear of mud and other contaminates as it was the first thing that I thought of and the motor is working but is not pumping water in or out.

cheers,
Glenn.

take the pump apart and check everything inside, something could of loosened up (not motor). Also look at the directions it will show you how it works. It might need a new hose inside the pump. Im looking at directions it looks like there is a hose inside and three cyclinders rotate, and hose is raped around them. Im sorry im going off the directions. But take it apart thats your best bet.

Very unusual that this pump fails but I have installed a fuel filter in the intake line of the pump along time ago one of the first things i did to mine and have never had a problem with it,it self cleans is cheap insurce .Sound like the tube inside the pump might be kinked? Very simple pump and parts are  available sepretly.

G'day Bryan,I'm working at the moment so I'll strip it down on daysoff and see what the problem is with it.
Aquasub,I was surprised that it wasn't pumping either as the motor was running fine and nothing seemed to be wrong with it.

Are you sure its just pumpping dry ,be sure it is in water before stripdown.Do you have control of the pumps direction?Take the covers off and submerge see if bag fills or is pumpping out.

G'day all, yesterday was the first time all week that I've had a chance at sorting the pump out,I had to replace the 3 pump cylinders wih new ones and the pump works fine I now has a suction issue going on that i will sort out today and test.At least today I'll be fully awake to focus on the model as opposed to finishing nightshift like yesterday morning.

cheers and thank's for your help.

You know you can test the dive system on the bench and with the core out of the tube ,just connect a suitable tube and water container ,the pump will then pump the bag.

G'day aquasub,I'll give that a go as it was pumping okay pumping from one container into the next and back again and then when connected to the bag, could be the lines are being pinched.

I just purchased the SB-1.  First trial dive and the ballast pump runs continuously, does not change with input from the transmitter, appears to be pumping out only.  So she will not dive.  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

If you cant find the cause of the pump malfunction i would recomend changing out the stock radio ,use a futaba type radio or jr it will work just fine with the stock main pcb board, all fail safes stay the same!

I used a 10ch jr and love it!

I gues this sub has a radio problem that Thunder Tiger needs to fix,but at least we can fix it as well.

b4256 g'day and welcome check to see if you have any damage to your electrical components ie:electrical cables that may have been rubbing on some part of the model and baring the wire or binding of the motor, damage motor wires, poor connections between your speed controller, ballast pump, sensors and controll board.
Also did you find any moisture inside the model when you pulled it apart?,water or moisture could have caused the short if any had/was inside the model.
did you smell any electrical burnt smells comming from the model when you opened it up,have you had a look at the motor or is that running okay when you run it?.

cheers,
glenn.
