Egg, I am going to go drink those two bottles of wine you gave me and try to forget everything I just read.

RE: Dumbest Tanker EVER!
I've ordered the RX-18 board, a Jagd Panther , and some sundry electronics connectors. I plan to have the Sherman up and running and hopefully shooting BB's and IR beams by Oct 23rd.

The HL BB shooter uses the left "up" joystick while the IR fires via the main cannon button. I mounted the IR diode beside the main barrel like a coax machine gun. So now (when they were both working) I can shoot BB's and IR. The IR diode can sit in the same place as the red "gun gonna shoot soon" LED warning light.

The tanks is an OTB MATO Sherman M4A3 (76)W. Fireman Tim installed the IRLEDin a piece of plastic pen barrel so it shoots through the hole where the red LED used to be. I copied this design on my HL Tiger so my son and I could shoot it out.
The IR LEDis the one with the hot glue holding it in. (Ain't pretty but it works)

RE: Dumbest Tanker EVER!
Oops missed a shot! Also I have taken my old burned out RX 18 board and scavenged the female pin plugs. My goal is to make the turret detatchable so there are no wires soldered to the hull without plugs. (It's a pain working on turrets with bits of plastic hanging off them.)
BTW can someone tell me what is supposed to be mounted at the bottom of this Tiger hull where the screw posts and the locator post are??
