Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
I've been telling a friend about this great hobby and some of the outstanding workmanship/detailing that I've seen here.
Post your favourite image(s), either your work, or one(s) that you admire.
Please contribute, it can be a great and inspirational thread!
TIA.

RE: Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
LOL...you would think I'd asked you two to drop your pants or something. I've seen a lot of great photos posted here and there in threads, and thought it would be cool to have a "best of" thread.
I'd be happy to post photos of mine but at the moment the collection consists of two bone stock HLs, a Panther G and a KV-1, nothing worth photographing at the moment, but I do have some modest plans for them in the medium term.
I have just ordered a Tamiya Panther G too (shhhh, don't tell my wife!)
With regard to the gallery comment - true enough - but forum threads are a lot more interactive than sifting through hundreds of photos in a gallery, at least to me. Feel free to join in, or not, it's all good.
I'm into mechanical watches and german cars, and threads like this are very popular in those forums - I thought it might be the same here. If not, no worries! [8D]

It's not that it is looked down on to post pics here but it does crowd the thread. We had threads for each type of tank at one time which worked out ok, you just have to bump the tread for the tank you want to post. If you have multiple tanks you want to post it is best to put them in an album and list them in the gallery.

RE: Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
^very nice!
I'd like to build one at some point once I've done some research into my own former regiment, the GGFG.
I was with them for a couple of years as an infantry reservist in my early 20s - and it is also in fact the same regiment (armored in WW2) that my wife's grandfather served with as a decorated officer in WW2.

Got one that is plain jane on the outside and not fancy, but is pretty cool on the inside.
HL "guts"...........Tiger tracks, four gear boxes, battery for each set of gear boxes, and more.
Was fun to do...........

P.S. I re-did 4 of the 1/12 tanks.............All four are different......fun to work on.

RE: Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
I have done numurous build threads on this site, but they disappear into the black hole of old threads. The search feature can pull them back. I was thinking of doing up some tuturials on my web page where they would be easier to recall. The Mato Sherman is a very good parts supply. Here is one of the threads if you are interested.

Thats what we have a PHOTO GALLERY FOR.

Yes you are correct there is a photo gallery, but by posting pics on this thread it allows the poster to add more comments. So in that light I don't see the harm. I find threads like this to be very informative and entertaining.

Capt Canuck, I think we should ask permission before posting anything. Geez what a bunch of grumpy people. Lifes to short for this. Oh gosh I ended my sentence with a preposition
Now I'am really in trouble.!!

RE: Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
OK, here's one of my favorites. It ain't mine, but would that it was!
And lest we forget, the third is a photo of the Monument to the Unknown Sailor in Odessa on the Black Sea. Those are high school children guarding it, and they compete for the honor of doing so. The flowers and wreaths appear every day, are removed at night, and more appear the next day, every day, rain, snow, or shine.

RE: Favourite photo(s) of RC Tanks?
The post indicated favorite vehicle....no mention of any particular tank-1/2 track-APC-HMC. I personally find it a PITA to put stuff on the Photo Gallery and there is a limit of what you can put with it as well as being so *%#&^ slow. There is also no Tank listing, so hope it gets to the right place. There are many very well done models out there and it would be nice to see a photo of a member's favorite without overloading and thread.
