Ready to go - ready to fight...
+ some comparison pics - KV-220-2 (October 1941, 124 Separate Tank Brigade, North-West Front, Ust-Tosno) vs KV-220-1 (with big turret May 1941, at Kubinka test field)

Hal........
Your tanks are absolutely beautiful. I really like the clean detail of the work you have done. I am not knowledgeable about Russian armor and have a question about the track. Both tanks have the same tread design but they appear to be installed in an running direction opposite of each other. The tread design looks to me like it could be non-directional and would work installed either way in real life, and I would like to know if this was ever done under battle conditions. I haven't been able to find anything that would answer my question.

Yes, they are designed and developped for off-road battles - not a hard-core ones, but grass + ground-soil...
KV-220-1 is absolutely OK, while making our movie "NOT a WHITE TIGER" it was running greatly on the ground...
We have plans on KV-220-2 this year.. But we'll see.
In case somebody missed it...

KV-7 (optional)...
As there were 20 bodies made for this SPG (in 1941), I have decided to put one main gun (instead of 3 as on KV-6 or 2 as on KV-7), but longer - F-42 (95 mm)
Elmod inside, HenTech tension system, MATO tracks, idlers and sprockets + MATO gear (v 2.0)

thanks for this...
have been thinking whole morning how it is better to set and install Elmod Apple - so at the end...
and it will be hidden behind a curtain to prevent front hits...

Whoa Hal! This is amazing and quite jealous all in the same thoughts! I never studied the images of the K-6 and K-7 but you have pulled it off!
I love these old prototype Soviet monsters! Here's an image that really impressed me:
I want one now!

Yep, this is a very interesting model comming out.
Some sources say that there were KV-6 (object 226) with three main guns - 76 mm + 2*45 mm
and KV-7 ( object 227) with two 76 mm *2 main guns.
Some sources say that these two were named KV 7(1) and KV7(2)...
my project will carry 1 main 95mm gun F42, as there were 20 tank bodies done of the same prototype...
+ there were ZIK20 - paper prototype for SU152 and two other projects U18 with 152 mm howitzer and SU-U19 with 203 mm howitzer , before SU-KV152 appeared...

Actually, as I had mentioned before, there were two protypes-freaks, that had passed some tests.
the first one was with three guns (45+76+45), second one was with two 76-mm guns.. and I have found one drawing of KV-7 with 1 95-mm main gun.
But only - a drawing.
Besides there were 20 KV-6/7 bodies build (lower chassis + battle compartment).
So here is a try to build one of them with 95 mm main gun...
Regarding Elmod - no questions, it works very correct, functionaly is perfect and I really love how "my little freak" moves. It is a real tiny battle tank...
The speaker is by Tamiya, recoil is by Tamiya, flash is by HengLong - all works together. I had to sacrifice with up-down device, but it is OK.

Are those middle steel style wheels on the T34/57 made out of metal?
