Default HL (initial) Tiger

Hi!

I finished my HL Tiger I. I choosed an initial type, because I want to use it for playing outside (no front, side and rear fenders -> no damages ).
It has been powering with RX-18, 3:1 gears, a self-made electronics whitch makes fireing with the "K" button. And I have an own Battle Unit, whitch compatibles with the Tamiya and El-Mod BU ;-)

Very nice tank! Did you make your own battle system? If so do you have any plans on production or possibly a diy guide?

Wow, I'm impressed and depressed all at the same time. LOL I've still yet to finish my initial Tiger...hell, I've still yet to finish any tank for that matter. But, will be getting back to them very, very soon. Great work by the way.

Yeah, that looks really good. Where does one get an 'initial' tiger?

What is your tank's base color? Is it only German Gray TS-4(Tamiya)?

I used Revell MATT 78 panzer grey to base color.
For weathering: Rewell MATT 87 dark earth, Humbrol MATT 119, and white.

Is Revell paint not available in the U.S? I searched the net and cannot find anything for Revell #78 Panzer grey.

You and me both lol.

I like the initial version. It's a frsh change to the usual tigers you see. Nice job, and I like what you did with the controls.

Hi. This is my first post. Hello all. Great job semseyp.

I don't have jet any tank but i want start with initial tiger in future. I have few questions.

1. Your tank is very similliar to tank 111 from 502 that i want build. Beck of the tiger (tools configuration) looks like on 111 and shape of numbers too. Why you choose 11 ?
2  Exhaust flappers. Do you built them from scratch or it is fotoetached set ? Aber ? Whitch one ?
3. Mamoth on the beck of turret. It is decal or hand painting ? If decal where i can get one ?
4. Tamiya recoil works well. Do you modified flash ?

Hi dr_arkeville!

1. Your tank is very similliar to tank 111 from 502 that i want build. Beck of the tiger (tools configuration) looks like on 111 and shape of numbers too. Why you choose 11 ?
- I didn't want to build an existed Tiger, this is a fanciful. It's very compare to the 111, so I left a 1. ;-)

2 Exhaust flappers. Do you built them from scratch or it is fotoetached set ? Aber ? Whitch one ?
- I made them from polyamid, and thin brass (see pics). I didn't use any fotoetached set on this Tiger. All parts was making myself from brass, polyamid and styrol plate.

3. Mamoth on the beck of turret. It is decal or hand painting ? If decal where i can get one ?
- It is hand painting! ;-)

4. Tamiya recoil works well. Do you modified flash ?
- That is no Tamiya, that is an Asiatam recoil for HL tanks, and the set contained the flash.

Thx. It inspire me. Inever worked with brass but now i see that it is possible to do with polystyrene.

Great work and good choose.

I think that it looks beeter than diode in tamiya. If you can add onother movie...

And on the newest pictures i see that you added structure to surface. Looks great.

Well I see you are another brave lad that went against the grain. Your tank looks great!! Isn't it nice to have one that is so different from the rest.
I built an initial back when. I did the 142 of the 501. So I know what you had to have gone through. No off the shelf here. Pure modeling and skill. Here are a couple of links to my build if interested!
