Rear convoy light (PzIII or IV)
I'm looking around for a rear convoy light for my PzIII. Thus far I've found these two:
http://modellbaugasse.de/shop/articl...%26aid%3D32%26
http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/shop/index2.htm (Item # 50308)
Thus, far I've heard caution's about Imperial's quality. Does anyone have any experience with the first link? And does anyone know if they ship to the US? Near as I can tell they don't.
Any other options I've missed?
Thanks.

Thanks, I checked rctank.de. They have the convoy light for the Panther, even have it either blue or green (thought they were all green []). It's not listed in the Tiger listings, but I believe the Panther, King Tiger and Tiger all used the same convoy lights. The PzIII and PzIV convoy lights were different and rctank.de doesn't appear to have them.
Wish I could find someone else. I emailed Modellbau Gausse and they want 20 euros just for shipping.

These guys have some listed as "Colon Lights".

I found that looking at this thread, there is a shot of it finished and lit in the thread.

Looks like the Wecohe one is wired to stay on...
Most of those links are for the Tiger I/II and Panther rear convoy lights. I'm looking for the rectangular ones that mounted on the PzIII and IV rear, left fenders. I just want one that has the green showing...ignoring the red. Here are some photos and a link for a reference.

Thanks for all the links...those have been good for research and reference, too.

@yellowshaker...thanks for the link. I got one from RCTankWorld before it closed its doors. But, I wasn't paying close enough attention and got the red one instead of the green one. They're the same ones that Imperial makes. Mine came without the flap to cover the top or bottom. Did yours have the flap?
@bubbajoexx...if you can make one work from the plastic moldings on HL, let's parley...I'm interested.

very nice! Pictures were a little blurry, but it looks like you used two to make one, right? On one you shaved off the front portion where the light box would go. On the other you cut off the bottom mount and stand and shaved the back to create the front portion. Correct? When you sandwiched it all together, was there a gap between the front and back part of the light? Did you just fill that in with a putty?
Any links to your 2-mm LEDsource? I'm trolling looking for a few. But, if I have a better view of what you used, then I'll have a better idea of what to get.

Yes, I got the red as well, but I have it wired so it comes on with the headlight or it will work by itself as a brake light. Also, mine did indeed come with the flap...both did, the one on my tiger also had it.
I kind of like BubbaJoe's idea of making the stock one functional.Easy enough and free...well, almost...LOL

RE: Rear convoy light (PzIII or IV)
I like Bubbajoex's idea. It's much cheaper than 10.95 + 20 (shipping) euros for the light. I'll also have to find another stock convoy light. Mato has been a good source for these small parts.
Here's what I've found on eBay. Looks like I have several shapes to choose from. I think I can cut off the bumps or "towers" to fit into the tail light without it affecting the actual LED.
I also found these: 1.6-mm LEDs (http://stores.ebay.com/LED-Switch/LE...=p4634.c0.m322) What do ya think?
Anyone know what the voltage of head light leads is? I don't have a voltmeter and I don't want to blow out new LEDs.
Thanks.

Hmmm...that's part of my problem. I don't have any other projects...no time. So, I don't need very many. Need to find a small volume vendor.
So, do you think the tower ones (my picture on the right) will work best?
