Default 1/16 Jagdtiger 563 Schwere Panzerjager. Germany 1945

Here are some photos of the Jagdtiger that I just completed. It has been painted in "563 Schwere Panzerjager. Germany 1945", decals from Elite Armor. I had purchased this Matarro Jagdtiger from Awesome Hobbies in Austrailia. When it arrived I removed the tracks, gearboxes, and Matarro electronic. On the lower hull I modified the battery box so that I could access the battery from inside the hull. I filled in & puttied all of the lower hull battery & switch openings. See the photo of the bottom of the hull. The sides of the hull/sponsons above the tracks which are not on the Matarro Jagdtiger were added to the lower hull with sheet styrene. I installed a rear track tensioner, made an aluminum motor mount plate & installed HL Pershing metal gearboxes, installed HL RX-18 electronics & speaker. The unsightly gap between the front of the lower hull and upper hull which most of the Matarro Jagdtigers & King Tigers have, was mostly corrected by reinforcing the front of the lower hull with styrene. I stripped the paint from the outside of the hull. Paint & weathering was airbrushed with Tamiya paints. Tracks, sprocket, and idlers are metal from Mato. The MG 34 on the rear deck is Tamiya.

I gave it a test run, but will wait for all the deep snow and ice to melt in the Spring to give it a good workout. For now, bacgdtk to work on a few more tanks I am working on.

Regards,

Victor

Nice work! I just realized that the Matorro does not come with the lengthened chassis...Other than that, it looks really nice!

Now that is not right....way too neat and clean. Where's the spaghetti wires and hang-ups? Very nice job.

Nice looking Tank Destroyer. Did you take any pics during the build? If so would like to see them as well. What the shipping from Australia like?

Well done, nice paintwork and the neat appearance seems factory fresh. Exactly the way I build, all tanks were new at some point. Saxondog

Sorry, no photos during the build. The shipping from Austrailia was expense... $104.
