RE: Anyone remimber this game?
Wargames are another one of my hobbies. I play everything from games that can require more than 150 hours of playtime simulate an entire war, right down to simple games that take less than an hour and can be played by 8 year old kids. One of my favorite simple WW II wargames is Memoir '44. It's played on a modular board with small plastic figures. The base game is Germany vs. America, and comes with a bunch of Panzer IIIs and Shermans along with AT guns, infantry figures, sandbags, barbed wire and hedgehog tank traps.

Baron,
What is the the name of that game, it reminds me of Statego that I used to play years ago with my brother.
One of the wargames I enjoy play is Axis & Allies Minitures, not be confused with the board game with the same name.

I forgot about this game, my brothers and I used to play it all the time. Then my father introduced us to the Avalon Hill Bookcase games like Panzer Leader.

MEMOIR'44 is a fantastic game...
we (my 5year daughter nd me) play it at least 3-4 times a week...
But we play mainly Eastern Front scenarios + we invent our own, according to historical maps...
So we changed actually Russian Tanks (using Zvezda 1:100 scale), having introduced light tanks (T26, BT5), medium ones (T34) and also German light (PzII) and ,medium (PZIII) + we introduced German Cavalry Revel figures 1:72 - non painted)... So we plan to intrduce Soviet Cavalry as well... this makes the game more interesting.
There is one scenario that we have recently played and still play - Rasseniai, June 23rd - 30th, with total Red Army defeat. There, in Lithuania, RKKA has lost its 2nd tank division in two days (25th and26th of June), with its loss of 245 tanks including32 KV-1 and 19 KV-2...
And Germans won in this game too (these were the troops of my 5 year "General" )
