Here i assembled the turret and engine deck almost complete except for the turret detail and gun. also pictured are some of the tools you will need tamiya 4 way and 3mm hex head screw driverfor attaching the engine deck to the lower hull. I found that the Tamiya glue or cement works the best for the plastic parts (PVC) creating a very strong bond. their is some warping with the turret so I added some square tubing to strengthen it .

Dunno...
... if this is the generic " Guess what came in the mail t'day " thread, but my T55 was retrieved from Canada Post (with $46.55 due as 'taxes') but i won't have time to crack the box for much but a cursory look for missing bits. With bearings to go in my 2A6, and then an apartment clean for a Thursday inspection, I'll not have the time to make more of a mess with cleaning the current sub-nuclear explosion of an apartment.
I may get some 'inspection' pics up tomorrow... but then she goes back in the box until other tasks get finished. Shame too... Idjit's roomie has seen 'The Beast' and really wants to see the kit.
Oh, and for those not 'In the Know' the Canada Post strike ~isn't~ really one yet, its what we call 'rotating walkouts' so mail still gets here, just a bit slower, at least until they go full strike. I'm just hoping my parts From Karen show before they blow off for an unscheduled early-summer holiday...
And nice kit... hope my T55 ends up as sweet-lookin!

Viper54, can you make a straight photo of the wheels, please? Interested in the gap between the drive sprocket and the first pair of wheels...

Just curious ifElefants all had zimmerit(I would think so)? Just for some reason I prefer my tanks without zim, just make the tank have cleaner sharper lines without it...I dunno just a personal thing I guess..lol
