I need your help to verify the scale of the hooben model, to compare it with the IMAI one, since there is someone saying that the IMAI elefant was in 1/15 scale, not 1/16.

Imai always marketed their's as a 1/16 scale model and while gross errors have been made before I doubt they'd be that off.
I agree with Ken, they seem close to me.
I bought the Hooben and while I've not yet built one I propped up the lower and upper hull for a a 'sort of' comparison.
These may make things more confoosing with yer Hoobens but there it 'tis.

I used to own 2 IMAI and while I always thought this model was darn good and accurate, I remember the part that was really not in 16th scale was the muzzle break (I read that it was taken from a 15th scale model of the Tiger made by Bandai). It was way too big compared to my other 16th models.

Thanks Viper54 for the dimensions and Tanque for the side by side comparison.
After some calculations looks like the IMAI elefant is in about a 1:15.5 scale, while the Hooben one is about 1:16.6
