A member here once made some very simple examples, but I forget who it was.

For a start, Do a Google search for "Dragon's teeth tank traps".

Here's one of them.......but it's for 15mm scale. I haven't a clue on what the multiplier would be to make it 1:16 (or about 120mm). I'm guessing a multiplier of 8 would make them 4 inches by 4 inches by 3 inches high. Does anyone out there know for sure?

Hey, Mustclime...........gimme a break.........ya live in New Joisey......ask one of dem Good Fellas to modify those forms dey use to make concrete shoes and stuff.

i personly use plastic milk creates withtrash baglinersin them for the over shoes....not really going to work for 1/16 scaletank traps....scale should be 2 1/2-2/3/4 inches high...I just don't know howto make a reusable mold.....I would love to find something like a "icecube " tray that I could make a bunch at a time. For the mold to be reusable, it would have to be flexable and not stickie.....

Panzerpaul was the one who made the dragon's teeth molds.

I too have made some but my mold was made of wood and only lasted through about a dozen cycles before it was unusable.   Panzerpaul's mold was more like what you are talking about.

He posted a thread about it, but at this time I am unable to find it.

RTV rubber can be purchased here.  I have used these guys for 20 years..  They are a good company.  I think they sell how to books as well.

I would try this stuff.  If you PM Panzerpaul, you can ask him what product he used.

I use rtv. I would get the Cold Mold stuff that Pah co chu puk suggested. All you have to do is make a master. I then take lego's and build a box around my master. I then use rubber cement or elmers glue to glue my master down in the middle of the lego box. Next, after I am sure my master will not move I mix the two part rtv and brush a thin coat over the master to make sure it's surface is covered with no air bubbles and then I pour the rest of the rtv into the lego mold box until it covers the master. wait 24 hours and the mold should be cured and you can then remove the master and begin making duplicates of your master.

I use Smooth-on brand product. Both their RTV and resins are great.

If that stuff sits on the shelf for a long time does it deteriorate and become unusable?

Well this is a special day for my wife and I.It's our "50" year wedding anniversary today.... The kids took us to Vegas last week for three days and we had a good time and a nice Suite at the Flamingo Hilton.Didn't win any money but realy didn't do much gambling, more sight seeing than anything else.Still a lot of people who celebrate 50 years at marrige, but it looks like it will become a very rare event for most people in the future.Been a very lucky guy and have a one in a million Wife.

LasVegas is an amazzing place, lots of neat places to see.FREEMONT street is one of my favorite's with the big overhead canopy TV shows they put on every 30 minutes.A couple of pictures at ( outdoor world bass pro shop ) in front of there Aquarium. What a place for a sportsman, got about everything you can think of.

Now THAT is a fish tank! I do miss keeping fish (if not the maintenance side of the hobby [:@]). One of these days I'll get to settle again and get my 4ft tank set up again... [&o]
