How to connect the cooling fan to the Heng long RX18?
The small cooling fans that we now sell, will plug right into the RX-18 board. See attached pictures,,, but this is the Heng long IR battle plug system spot. This idea came from one of my customers named,, Mark, he promted me to test it out, and it works great.
Note: If you are using the HL IR Battle system you will need to splice the fan pos & neg wires into the battery power cable pos neg wires, that comes from the tank power switch and plugs into the RX-18 board,,, or cut off the connector on the fan and solder those two wires to the back of the board at that same spots.

I had a similar idea for the fans when I posted a thread about using an extra RX-18 board to cancel the tracks recoil ; but never followed up on it ....
Take a look at those pictures and you'll understand ....

Hello Strmnd54,
I have used your dual board idea for getting ride of the Tank rock recoil. The DBC will remove it unless you want to use the Asiatam recoil, then it gets triggered when you push the left stick up. Your idea dual board idea worked great to remove the tank rock completely, it should work for using dual fans that run when the motors get power as well.
