Motor question
Which motor has the shortest length that is suitable for Tamiya/ Heng Long type gearboxes? A project I'm working on
requires a more compact motor than the standard. Brushless types aren't acceptable as the project is using stock Tamiya/ Heng Long
electronics. I am only interested in the physical size of the motor. Substantially shorter than 41mm ( 1.615") is the goal.
Thanks.

RE: Motor question
These are the ones I use (nominal 7.2V):

Hard to find, basically are 380s "short can", and phisically are the same lenght the "new" HL brass gearboxes mount, but much more slower, ideal for narrow tubs. Cannot tell where to buy there, here I buy them from a scholar materials supplier.
Years ago Conrad used to have this type of motor.

Here you go, near the bottom of the page:
http://www.robotstorehk.com/motors/motors.html
look for "MOTOR-RS360SH Mabuchi RS-360SH DC Magnet motor", it's a HK store.
