if you got the money to do it, then yes, he was selling these for 12,000, what the hell double. I plan on my building my own 1/4 King Tiger soon, gathering info as we speak lol.

Pretty extreme price, but I'd have to know more about it to answer if it is 'worth it' but right away I see too many gross inaccuracies to start with that need to be addressed at any price.

ah yes, its that guy...
I'm not one for calling out complete strangers online, but I would suggest that you could probably get it for a lot less else where... [8D]

Sheeeesh! I can barely afford HL............. As one of the 99% (but too lazy to sleep in the park), it amazes me that someone may actually buy that thing.

At that price you would have to need your head examining - but if anyone here thinks that paying the price of a half decent new car for an RC toy is a good deal, I would like to offer you a great deal on 500 miles of prime, beach front, real estate in Nebraska...
Any takers?

Dunno about out your way, but here in the UK we can have a full size army surplus FV432 or CVR (t) purchased and road legal for that kind of money...!

Note Well...
The text says:
Hence what you see is NOT what you are buying. Better to go to the German source and buy it.
But in my opinion, I'd not go bigger than 1/16 scale unless I won the lottery, and could afford my own home and a place to store the bigger beasts... (Yea, I'd like 1/6 scalers... with the Joes as crew)
Buyer Beware, read ALL the text before ya buy, ask questions of anything that seems hinky... which this seems.

The text says:
Pictures show a 1/6 Tiger 1 early in progress and a 1/5 Tiger 1 early. We measure original vehicles in Museums or work after original plans where possible to deliver most accurate models. Made in Germany like the original. Shipping at cost FOB Germany

RE: Is this really worth $24,999.00?
Ummmm, no. Not in my opinion anyway.
It's true that value different for different people but in my opinion it is not. To me value = engineering.
There just isn't much in an electric powered model of any scale. Is there 25k worth of materials here?
Not even close. Are there specialty nuts, bolts required to make a model of this size? No. The hardware
could be bought at any Ace hardware store. Are there any specialized techniques required to make a model of
this size? No, you could farm out the casting of tracks / sprockets to any jobber foundry who would take on the
task. If anything these over-sized models are easier to make than smaller ones and so one would expect exacting detail in something this size which I don't see. The seller is well known for exorbitant prices.
It's merely an example of the "bigger must be better" approach to anything.
