Default What Batteries

Hi Guys

Just starting to work on my tanks again and was wondering what batteries are you guys using these days? I have dug out 3 of my 3000mah Venom packs which havent been used in a few years, Im hoping that I can get them back working again.

Im having a great time with a pair of 5100 mAh NIMH packs from the local hobby shop, last for days of casual use and fit stock HL battery boxes just fine.

When you say "days", how many hours do you think you get out of one?

At the least, 2.5-3 hours of 'running around', and likely more. Now if you're doing jumps off hills or doing a power mud climb all day, it will be less.

Ive never had one of these batteries run dead during use, I always charge them before that happens. Even on event days.

In a tank they wont last quite that long because you have a lot more rolling resistance. But 1.5 to 2 hours should be about right for a good Nihm 5000 pack.
Your Venoms are most likely no good now especially if they are NiCd packs. You can try cycling them a few times but who knows.

actually I charged up the venoms ( there NIMH ) and they are working fine, I might not have to buy any now.

I had the tanks running around for a hour or so on each pack today.
