Where did you buy the Zim kit and do you think it would work with a HL PZ IV?
Thanks
Jim

Looks good Tony. I have no doubts that with your skill coupled with Bretts guidance, this will be a fantastic tank. Kim says she wants me to print out a color picture of it as soon as you post it so she can practice putting holes in it with her Pershing. I also see you alos added Daryls bullet-broof (Every pun intended) aluminum elevation arm too. Nice touch and a requred modification. I hope you will have it ready for the next NEAD battleday. It may be indoors or perhaps in the snow again, like last winter. Last year the KT with snow camo did well. We will all be better prepared this winter.
Merry Christmas, Bob

About the only thing Ican suggest is getting some XF-60 Dark Yellow and using an air brush.
First time Itried using one Iwas very pleased with the result. Imixed 50/50 with X-20A thinner.

RE: panzer iv build
I agree Tony. Get some dark yellow and thin it for use in the airbrush. The results are a much more even finish and nowhere near as glossy as the cans.
This thing is really taking shape, brother. I have been looking at the PIV since we attended Danville last April. Manchu's is awesome and I have since wanted to build one myself...I guess I will have to start saving for a kit....Happy New Year!!!!

Has anyone done a side by side comparison between the Tamiya and HL PZ IV's? Just want to get an idea how close the Zim kit might fit the HL PZ IV.
Thanks

RE: panzer iv build
this zimmerit is way to smooth it looks good but thats all
Zimmerit was applied by hand no machine, you easily can apply zimmerit with revell putty and cellulose thiner mixed in same quantities, is strong don't come off any more, the thinner binds with the plastic very natural look unregular like it should be guy's

RE: panzer iv build
I think the Zim looks outstanding. If you applied it like Karel does, it would scale out to about 6 inches thick. Some Zim was applied rather thick, but not like I have seen on some tanks. There are also plenty of pics of real tanks that the Zim is not applied that heavely. I think this Zim kit ( as well as your PZ IV ) looks great and will use it on my next HL PZ IV.
