Nice paint scheme Tony.
Looks like it will be ready for the 'field trials" in Danville..

and yet more progress. i ended up spraying some mud color on it, to dull down the camo abit, then i got the numbers and german crosses on. both the numbers and crosses are paint. bret and i cut out some stencils and airbrushed them on. here's a couple of pics

and even more progress. after 2 sessions with the black wash and weathering plus some other detail work, here's what it's shaping up to look like. the camera doesn't do it justice, looks much better in person. i still have somethings to do, but it's mostly done. for those that are going to danville next weekend, you'll get to see it in person

Very nice work. one historical question which is not really relevant.

I do not recall ever seeing Zim. applied to sheutzen. Did they do that? The workmanship is top drawer.

Yes, Germans did it apply it to Schurzen:

My Tamiya P4 has it also.

hi herman, love your water stuff.

this is the first time i tried the hard shells. i use turnigy batts for my other r/c's with great success. and after seeing bret's soft shell batts from repeated in and out of the tanks, bret and i both thought i would be a good idea to use the hard. so i'm guessing it's a win/win kinda thing. good power, and no worring about the shell after use

Hi Tony,

I've been followig your build and it looks great. Kim says she can wait to put some holes into it with her Pershing for added realism. [:@] I'll gladly back you up with my Panther pal. It was too bad that you and Brett couldn't make it to the NEAD event. The weather man was 180 degrees out and it was a perfect day. I think we will pick-up 3 new NEAD members from that battleday. I do want to have a battleday down south by your guys in the late spring. Keep an eye out for a suitable battlefield. We'll talk more about it at Danville. Nice job on the pzr IV. I can't wait to see it in action.

thanks bob for the kind words. i really like the way it turned out and enjoyed building it. i'm looking forwad to seeing you and the girls again, and everyone else. sorry bret and i didn't make the last nead battle, with the drive and the not so good weather forcast we decided it would be best to stay at home and get some work done to the tank. bret's working on moving to a new place and has plans for a battlefield, i think we could make somethng happen after he gets settled in and the field set up. we have talked about having nead come to battle with us and try and get some more ace guys in on it to. i'll leave any other info about it for him to talk about. thanks again, see you in danville
