Nice work Tony! Is that the ATAK kit for Zim? This is going to be a nice PIV!

This is looking like an interesting build, the zimmerit looks fine is this your own work or as has been said Attak either way it looks good.
The last version was the J though only the early versions used zimmerit, the PzIV issued in the Ardennes offensive would not have had any though units would have still had some earlier versions

thanks guys. yes this is a tamiya kit, and yes it is the atak zim kit. my buddy bret is helping me with the do and don'ts. he is showing me pics of the real ones and from what he is saying, even the some of later ones had zim on them. i don't know?

we'er even working on getting rid of the stock round exhaust and going with the 2 stacks to make it look more scale/real.
this is the stock one, and the one we came up with

Yep, the zimm work really makes the Panzer IV pop! Nice work so far!

Wish they would come out now with an ATAK kit for the Panther and Jagdpanther too. I really want either an early or mid Jagdpanther.

Yeah when you know better, nothing is "just putting the kit together" like I did with my first Tamiya kit ... a Sherman. From then on they turned into a labor of love and I basically changed everything.

Keep up the good work! The zimm will definitely set it apart from other Panzer IV's.

What kind of glue are you using for the zimmerit? Just curious because I'll be using ATAK's zimm on my KT.

Where did you buy the Zim kit and do you think it would work with a HL PZ IV?

Thanks
Jim

Looks good Tony. I have no doubts that with your skill coupled with Bretts guidance, this will be a fantastic tank. Kim says she wants me to print out a color picture of it as soon as you post it so she can practice putting holes in it with her Pershing. I also see you alos added Daryls bullet-broof (Every pun intended) aluminum elevation arm too. Nice touch and a requred modification. I hope you will have it ready for the next NEAD battleday. It may be indoors or perhaps in the snow again, like last winter. Last year the KT with snow camo did well. We will all be better prepared this winter.

Merry Christmas, Bob
