Thank you gents, but I can't take all the credit.
Joe built the stowage tube for me, I just made the mount bracket.

I needed to replace the kit idler wheels since I'm building a G1.
I got my hands on some earlier Panther A style idler wheels from RCTank.de.
Since they were intended for an HL, I had to make my own axles.
I found some 4mm aluminum rivets at work, minor fitting and they work fine.

Brought the sprockets in to work and used the drill press to drill the alignment holes.

Here is a pic of thesealedstowage boxes, the hollow back boxes would have been evident with the modified rear deck.

The antenna base had to be modified.
It was incorrect, far to long.
I still have to fill in a little, but this is the basic idea.

Lookin good Jim.
Looks as though you have been bitten by the Every-Last-Detail-Bug.
At some point while working on my Panther, I said enough is enough and started painting.
But it looks like you're not going to stop until it's perfect.
Or until you go mad.
It is fun to watch.

Okay... without me rushing to my Panther sources, so do you know what the hole is intended for? Mark? Anyone? []

I should know but it's a case of teaching an old dawg, new tricks.

And BTW, nice work.

I think it's for aligning the 2 sprocket gear rings during replacement.

I haven't done to much work on th JP lately, but I did finish the back of the lower hull.
I was going to paint the base coat on the lower, but the snow ended that idea (I paint in the sunroom).

Thanks, the build is still alive and here are a couple of pics.
I installed the photoetch fenders and have been working on the intake screens.
I'm on the 3rd version, I finally found some frame material thin enough to look correct.
Now that it's getting warmer I should be able to shoot some paint soon, the sunroom is my paint booth.

Thanks Dave!
After many attempts, and failures I finally managed to make intake screens I'm happy with.
