There's other forums? Joking. I just use my name on all the forums. Makes it easy to remember. Helps having a less than common name. In games like Red Orchestra and World of tanks I go by Greenhorn. Seemed to have stuck given my proficiency.

This is not an R/C forum, but it does have great painting, detailing and weathering/battle damage ideas in small scale.

Same on RC Tank Warfare and Achtung Panzer as here, as well as ome other tank forums that escape me right now.

Different on non-tank forums (shotguns, motorcycles)

Its probably because your brain is trying to figure out where you put all those tanks you own.

I listed all the forums individually......then of course I had to list the IDs seperately too.......bc I was hoping others would follow suit and list all thier forums individually............that way maybe I could learn about a few new ones I had not yet stumbled upon............but no ! Seems not to have been a good idea !!!!!!!!!! No one is doing that........so Bobby...........I'm confused too

I am the same wherever I go apart from Tamiyaclub which I joined back in 2002 under the name njmlondon.

When PS3 came out I created vonmarshall as my online username and have sort of stuck with it for all future forums.

I believe it's the same everywhere now. That's the beauty of signing your name at the end of the reply.

Oh-oh, my OpSec (Operational Security) alarmsare lit up! Ever hear of EEFI (Essential Elements of Friendly Information)? Fundamental OpSec requiresprotectingEEFI and PII(Personally Identifiable Information). I respectfully recommend everyone think twice before providing any data for collection by unknown persons on any forum.

Quite right mate. It's a common mistake many makethese days on forums and various social networking sites. I continue to be amazed that far too many people judge their popularity and social standing by the number of electronic "friends" they have never met. To exacerbate this perception many are far too eager to publicly share every intimate detail of their lives in the vain pursuit of a modicum of fleeting fame.Identity thieves, con artists, burglars, and all manner of nefarious ne’er do wells rely upon the cooperation of their unwitting victims to continue preying upon society.
Lesson for today: trust no one on the internet, never click on links provided by anonymous sources, and never, ever volunteer to be a victim.Class is dismissed.

So just why are you even on this forum...if your opinion is such that you trust no one. I'd appreciate it if you would not try to hijack this thread off into some other direction. This is for those of us who don't have your qualms or so much distrust of fellow tankers. We enjoy communicating with each other, sharing ideas and answering questions to help each other, and its always nice to know who is who on any forum that we visit. Since you are so much against this approach to life, please don't clog my thread any further. Start a new one if you have have more to expound. Thank you. Panzerpaul

That is a very valid question which deserves a sincere, honest answer. I am here to learn about RC tanks and share what I have learned from others or experimentation to (hopefully) contribute in some small way to the expansion of the hobby. I am not here to solicit or provide any other information, especially personal information.I applaud everyone who was wise enough to simply reply in this thread that their on-line identity is the same everywhere without providing additional details.I am concerned that you solicited on-line identities while admittedly actually hoping to learn of the existence of other forums and web sites. It would have been more forthright to simply ask if anyone knows of other, similar sites supporting this or other RC hobbies. This doesn’t make you a bad person by any means sinceI suspect your query was entirely innocent and without malice. I merely suggest to everyone reading this thread that they carefully consider the ramifications of exposing any personal data to any public and anonymous audience.

Ok now that you have made yourself clear, can we move on with the originals intentions of the thread, for those who are not paranoid. I really don't appreciate your jumping on this thread in this manner. Let's make this the last go round. If you have more to say, start a new thread or PM me if its that important. This thread was a simple concept with no underlying evil intentions. Panzerpaul
