At first I thought....wow !....then ...why?
RC of any kind is a fun hobby....but this borderlines on mental instability......just my opinion.
I am thinking....a very lonely person?
Its a bit much.
I guess he just wanted to prove it could be done......I would have dug a POOL in the backyard instead,LOL
Said the guy who drives RC tanks around miniature battlefields

I think this must be the same guy I contracted to dig the foundation for a house I built.
A labor of love I guess.

Hey, Glad to see Joe has made the R/C history books, in a way!
I know him from the Yahoo RC Trucks & Construction group, as does Willy Loewer.
He's still with 'em, but he tends to frequent one of the other R/C trucking groups now, from what I understand.
But yea... gotta love it when your hobby can help you work in your basement, eh?

A local morning time radio 'personality' ( who I like actually ) made note of this fellow just a few days ago.
He didn't say anything directly about him other than the lead -in " what an interesting species we are" then
the trailer of " I wonder if he's married; perhaps no longer?"
At the time my feathers were a bit ruffled by the mildly derisive remarks, as a RC hobbyist, but considering the venue and relative
cloistered nature of it ( classical music) I could just about understand the remark. I can't imagine the types of remarks an awareness of our hobby would elicit. I thought of emailing the announcer but though better of it.
That all said while living next to a fellow like that might by a bit different there could be a lot worse neighbors to be saddled with...

Odd... I posted and got an internal sever error message but the forum says my post came through, but I can't see it. Strange.
Anyway, this is one of my RC dreams. Seasonal work.
