I run my Leopard with a Futaba T4Y-2.4G Skysport. It works great.
The recever does wire up diffrent from the Leo manual.
J1 to CH1

The stick and trims still fire the guns just as any other Tamiya tank unless you use a radio with more channels or ad fire buttons to the skysports which is very easy to do and there are posts all over this place on how to do it.

The small grey manual is the operation manual and tells you how to fire the main gun and the machine gun, as well as driving and turning. The big manual is just for assembly.

Take your time and don't rush the build. the Leopard is the most complex RC tank kit Tamiya makes. it is one heck of a baptism by fire but you'l do fine and there are plenty of good people here to help you out if you have any questions.
