Well it finally happened .2 or 3 yrs later I forget now but at least 2, my most reliable tank finally has an issue. One of the gears on the right side gear box is stripped or has a broken pinion. I was checking Mato Mart and RC Tank Wars for a replacement gear box but I didn't see any . Does anybody know where I can get replacements?

sometimes you have to ask for a certain part probably Phil or Matomart might beable to get them they don't always list every part they have

I don't know if they have anything that will fit the Mato Sherman . Replacement gearbox specifically for it will work for me.

Just want to Thank the guys particlulary YHR for sending me the gearboxes . The transaction was smooth and I received my gearboxes in no time. I have them installed and the Sherman is back to it's old self running around happy to be back in action again.

If I remember well, the inner gear wheels of those gearboxes are the same size as a stock HL gearbox.

Yes the gears are the same size as the stock Heng Long.

YHR are you saying that you can replace the stipped Sherman gears with HL gears ??
I looking to replace my stripped set and I dont think plastic will do, Im too ruff on the little guy.

I would consider doing and upgrade for your gear boxes. With tamiya electronics in mine i was pretty much a pillbox after 2 hits with stock gear boxes. This is fine for back yard bashers but not if you want to IR battle in competition events. The stocks just don't have the strength or power.

Yes HL metal gears will work in the Plastic Mato cases. However I personally just switch to the Mato 2.0 gearset with the short shaft It is geared perfect for the Sherman.

Ok next time they go kaput I will try that Gear box for the sherman. YHR do you have a spare gear set for the JagPanther or KV1? I am also looking for tracks just the stock kind for the KV1
