Need Help with radio hookup to Tamiya M26
Hello Tankers, I am building a Tamiya M26. I have reached the step 25. Hooking up the reciever and dmd. The Tamiya instrctions says
RUDD-CH1.
THROT.-CH2.
M.GUN-CH3.
TURR.-CH4.
These wireplugs are marked from the factory.
The Futaba Manual says
Aileron-CH1.
Elevator-CH2
Throttle-CH3
Rudder-CH4
The raido gear is from the aaftankmusem Futaba 4YF-2.4GHz. The reciever is the R2004GF.
I put Tamiya CH1 to reciever CH4. It seems to work Left stick forward and reverse. Right stick would be turning tank but does not turn.
I only have the bottom hull built. So I can not check the Turrent rotation or Gun elevation.
Please help!

Pershing tips, I've built two Pershings and use this radio.
Visit here for transmitter stick mode help: http://www.customrcmodels.com/Tanks/id92.htm
First, link the receiver to the transmitter per the Futaba easy instrucions.
Next take your DMDUnits out of the hull, set them on the work bench surface and then program the receiver to the DMD Unit per Tamiya Instructions.
FYI, with your radio that is usually as simple as hooking up the battery to the DMD Units, and turning on the transmitter, and then switch on the DMDUnits.

This may be a dumb suggestion, but did you release the safety?
The pershing is unique in that you have to first pull the forward/reverse trim all the way back, then pull backwards on the stick briefly.
You will hear the engine change from running to idle.
Then it will run normally.

Dave answer is in the small information package on Tamiyas receivers for your tank.
I called it my start in neutral then shift to go, saves you from running off table tops.

Hello Darryl. I went to the link provided by the member and after fudging around I got the two stick mode to work the way I wanted it for throttle and steering. Next I have to start bulding the upper hull. Been busy with work and family. I woud like to thank everyone for there help. I am also building a Tamiya RC kubelwagon. I will post pictures of that project.
