Default 35 TANKERS HAD A BLAST AT THE NEAD Battleweekend @ Danville despite Hurricane Sandy

ALL RC TANKERS ARE INVITED TO THE NEAD 3 DAY AND TWO NIGHT BATTLE WEEKEND AT DANVILLE, VA Nov 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 2012.

The AAF Tank Museun will again be hosting their very successful indoor car show and NEAD will be hosting the RC tank battle weekend. Last year we had the largest turnout ever for the November battle weekend. Over 35 tankers and 115+RC tanks from all over the US and Canada. With car crushing tanks and bike demos and over a hundred show cars inside and 1/3rd of a million square foot building....what more could you want. Come join us. It is only a few shorts weeks away. Plan now and travel down with a few buddies. Shared hotel rooms are about $35 a night PP. Don't worry if your tank is not ready yet. The tank musuem now has a M4 Sherman that they will rent out and I always have a spare tank to loan out. Just come on down and join us for the action. The fun is guarenteed.

I have made arrangements with the Museum for a Memorial for our dear tank buddy Phil Pflueger. It will be dedicated to him and Henry at the November event. Please do not put off coming to Danville. For many of us it was the only chance we had to meet Phil was during his ONLY trip there in April of 2011. I pestered him for months to come to Danville...NOW I'M PESTERING YOU!!!!

Make the trip and pay tribute to those who promoted the hobby that we enjoy.

I sure hope something changes so you can make it Wayne. It just won't be the same without you pal. Or the KV.

PS Here is a little teaser video that Danny Lo made for last year.... check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D39jBXxcZDY

Last year we had a record turn-over of tanks trades and sales at Danville in November. Karen sold 5 new F O kits. I sold 3 tanks and 5 radios systems and about 8 othe tanks changed hands. YES, you get first shot at my T-34s Danny. James had a box full of parts for many Tamiya kits. We had a four great flea-market tables loaded with part, radios TUs and kits.

Super Herman. Patton Cmdr, Bill Campbell will be joining us this time as well. He has been MIA for a while. He really detested the fan shot and I assured him it is a thing of the past. I beleive his son is joining him to soak up the car show actioin. It will be great to see him there.....It has been too many years.

Thanks Dana, It will be great to see all the HEAT guys again. We have many new tankers attending and we have some veterans (two of which are REAL tank commanders) returning that couldn't make the last few events. I'm sure we will all have a great time.

Don't miss out guys...plan on coming andmake it happen.

Check out this video from last year.

Thanks to Steve for putting so much time into it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGUvU...ature=youtu.be

All the practice you have had at the NEAD events will now pay off at Danville Scott....just try and curb the uncontrolable drooling while at the battlefield. [X(]

Well we are just 5 days or so from the November battledays at Danville. I hope we can get some more new tankers there next weekend. We had 3 rookies for the HEAT event in September. All had a great time and pledged to return. We will also have some tankers that we haven't seen in a while... come see it all for yourself. Scott and I will be leaving north Jersey late Tursday night. Brett and Tony ususally get here early Thursday evening. I hope to start our battles by noon on Friday, so come early. No tank.....don't worry. The Museum had a HD M4 to rent and I always have a spare for folks to share. Sound off guys!

STOP PROCRASTINATING AND MAKE THE TRIP!!!!
