Thank you for the kind words Danny. As always, I enjoyed your company immensely. Andrew is always a pleasure for me to have around. I hope to see you again over the winter, I hope the winter battle comes to fruition.

RE: 35 TANKERS HAD A BLAST AT THE NEAD Battleweekend @ Danville despite Hurricane Sandy
We tried a few new senarios at this event. One was a 9 versus 9 team battle. We always start in a corner or one side and attack towards the other. Time for a little change... Imagine it is the second day of Kursk. Where is your enemy and where are your buddies??? But is now dawn, the morning after a big battle. Each tanker was spaced evenly around the permitter of the battlefield. They were spaced alternately Team-mate...Enemy....Team-mate...Enemy. The tankers had to fight their way to a buddy of face anihilation. I must admit that it was a little difficult getting everybody emplaced...but it was fun watching guys scramble to find a teamate to fight alongside while dodging enemy shots. We had a good time once the concept was understood. And the terrain and cover played a big part. Just like a real battlefield.

Well I finally got around to pulling all of the frames from the videos I shot at Danville in November.
I'll start with the pictures of the Dioramas that Bill Campbell brought for display and then the tanks on the tables and Benchtops.

Some more combat pics. As it turned out the KV-1 was in some sort of "God" mode it took 15 hits.

The Panther gets taken out by the Bulldog, but an early Tiger 1 challenges the Bulldog and takes it out. It too gets challenged by the Tiger across the river.

Tiger against Tiger the Blue flagged Tiger is Victorious. After rotating field positions the teams are ready for battle. Herman takes theslope defense to the maximum deflectionpossible with his Sherman. Even though he is down he is not out, much to the dismay of the Bulldog and the other Sherman.

Unable to rotate the turret into firing position to protect his rear he is destroyed. The battle continues with the Porsche Tiger and the Sherman and then the Panther.

SUPER PIX...as always from Steve. Thanks so much for sharing them with us just in time for the l o n g Thanksgiving weekend. Now we are even more motivated to work on our projects.
FYI Steve has been doing this for quite a while... below is a pic of him and a Tiger he made photos of as a child.
