The trick is getting accurate measurements to make the CAD file with. I would need a real track link to measure, or a copy of the origonal factory specs. With one of those to work with I could draw the CAD file needed to 3D print track links.
Anybody out there have a copy of E-100 track section factory specs?
Or any other desired tracks?

I am in the process of buying the Juckenburg E-100 kit if anybody needs a section of track. I will send it to them to use for whatever purposes they might need it to get the project going....

Deadtom,
Well Makibox's are starting to ship! Yea! I am starting to build my 3d scanner and acetone vapor chamber for finishing parts.
Anyone who would like to design parts I will gladly accept .stl files, gcode or cad drawings that i will import myself. Eventually I would like to produce parts on a small scale. I do this to further our great R/C hobbies!

Yes I saw Jon's update....again.
I am usually pretty upbeat about things of this nature but it is coming up on the 2 year mark since I ordered it. I knew it was not going to be a slam dunk as we all were led to believe. I have thought about pulling my money but at this point I guess it will ride.
Someday my printer will come.....

I myself have a acetone chamber, aka a steamer from wallyworld. I bought it for about $20 and it has a nice cast iron base and a quick release plug for the temperature knob. I simply pour in a cap or two full of acetone, set my part in the basket (which sets about a half inch or so above the bottom so your parts arent sitting in it) put on the lid and set to about 200F for about 30 seconds. Voila! I'll try to make a video when I can of it, I need to make a few things this weekend anyways. It is very simple and the best cheap way I've found so far.

Hi All,
I've had a little success with printing track for my First World War Tank project. I have made some basic ones to test the link length and cog mesh, also a more scale-ish one to get made by a local firm.
Don't actually have a printer myself, I'm using my brothers Makerbot 3D printer. Drives you mental, but well worth it in the long run. Takes a while to get used to all the little foibles of 3D printing, but I've made parts I could never have done without it.
