Off topic-Stay Safe
To everyone on the east coast please be safe through this weather event. It is quite nasty here and this isn't even the worst yet. I can't even imagine people along the coast line. Just wanted to wish everyone to stay safe.
Cheers

Well so far hear my backyard expanded-fence between us and our neighbor knocked down by the wind.
I alsohad to seal off an attic vent that rain was blowing in through and take down the kitchen light that was gathering water leaking down electric lines from the attic.
Not to bad so far.........

I just found a neighbor standing outside, staring at the sky....I went out and asked him if he was actually insane. Winds are a constant now and things are blowing around all over. He looked at me...and then said, yea, we probably shouldn't be out here. LOL Captain Obvious?

Just talked to Yellowshaker at mid night EST. He and his Mom are fine but he says its really windy, rainy, and dark ( no power). He's more worried about undesireables and looting at this point. Let's all think positive thoughts for Joe. No negative waves man (in my best Oddball voice).

I would bet that Joey's a good enough shot to handle any situation. However, I hear it's pretty rough now. Got a friend in Wilmington DE also and she was sending sitreps until her power went out about 01 her time.

Lower Manhattan is under water and the power is out, part of Queens is under water, alot of Brooklyn's power is out, trees falling.
A hospital evacuating, subways are flooded, bridges and tunnels are shut down, Coney Island is under water and the list goes on and on.
A tree fell through someones house killing a person, its really bad out here.

Yeah, I just read up on the situation. You stay safe! If you can, keep us abreast of the situation.

Theres so much flooding around but it seems like the wind has died down somewhat. A tree has fallen at the corner of my block so there is only one way in or out.
A crane has collapsed and is hanging off a building at 57St
Mass transit is shut down until further notice

Mike,
Thanks for the update, I tried calling Joey (Yellow) 3 times, got voicemail each time and then also text him once, I kindda figured power was down or phone lines were overwhelmed.
Falling trees is serious business, I lived in Oregon for 6 years and every year that I lived there at least one person was killed by falling tress that either cut there house in half or completely pancaked their car.
Everyone within Sandy's reach be careful, and like Dan (YHR) said please check in when you can to let us know you all alright!

Well after I posted this last night, all seemed well.....then it took a turn for the worse. The wind really picked up, sounded like a train, never experienced anything like that. Actually it was pretty darn scary. Lost power around 9:30 last night. Surveyed the damage this morning. Lost two trees so far, one snapped in half and one torn out of the ground. So far the roof is intact. But the good news is we made it through and we are ok. Still have to check in with relatives to see how they are. Hope everyone else is ok. So keep us updated.

Made it through the night with relatively no damage. A couple branches down but nothing near the house. Can only guess that our house/property is in a bit of a low so we
must have been a little protected from the wind. Water level in the creek has started to drop and the battlefield is beginning to drain. Hope everyone else is safe.
