Default SLU down on power

Looking for some SLU advice. Just been trying to run my elefant on short grass and it seems very much down on power, can hardly turn unless very very shallow and at full power otherwise it just stalls out. Checked batteries and they're fine. Its got tamiya boxes with 3:1 gear downs which should give more than enough power, when I used to run it with asiatam boxes and tamiya electronics the tracks would spin out and not stall when on grass. Any ideas what the problem could be?

I think the boys over in Canada are familiar with that system. Try Fireman Tim

You sure it's not your pack starting to go south on you?
A weak pack would give you low power, and on a large demand like your turns in grass, the amp load may be too much for it.

Sorry to hear about your sick Elefant. I have 5 SLU's and have not run into this problem . If anything I loose tracks in grassand metal tracks are battery killers .
Does your elefant weigh noticibly more than than your Tiger or perhaps the tracks are wider which would alsorequire more ampsfor grass terrain turns . I'll ask aroundto see if anyone has run into this symptom.

Hey, thanks or looking into it! The elefant is lighter has thinner tracks which don't have cleats and has lower ratio tus. It feels like a tank that's take a few hits but I've tried unplugging the battle unit and it's still just as bad!

That's odd to hear. I've never had any real problems with my unit's, but I've had nothing to compare them too other than my original stock RX-18, which is eclipsed by far by the slu.
