Rex, my brain hurts looking at your track pictures ><

Actually, what's interesting is that the Bruder units you used look EXACTLY like the movie tracks... since they used a full scale Caterpillar to build theirs I just opted for simplicity & cheap!

Hey guys!

After waiting nearly 3 months, I finally got the remainder of my road wheels in the mail.... except they sent me Panzer IV instead of III wheels... they are smaller and won't work for me ><

So, if anyone has a set of 12 Panzer III plastic wheels just laying about, please PM me! My monster needs it's legs! These are the wheels with the sets of holes in them, I got the set without

Thanks guys, any help greatly appreciated

I've made some progress! Thanks to Buckeye36 I got the last bunch of panzer III wheels I needed, so, I started painting! Woohoo!

Also a big thank you to sassgrunt for the Republic of Hatay decals! They are really sharp

anyhoo I did a pretty simple spray job of light and dark brown, home depot paint Used the darker brown for some depth and around more 'dirty' areas of the tank.

I'm in the process of giving it a highlighting wash in dark grey (acrylic... water beads off the basecoat so it has a neat effect). The last pics are in the halfway done the wash phase.

Final phase is a clear coat in "frosted window" clear, from home depot. That stuff is awesome

That is looking very nice indeed, thanks again for sharing.
Only thing you need now is a little Indiana Jones figure to stand up on the rear deck

I've been looking for a figure of Colonel Vogel, that isn't "mint in package" for sale, to display on the turret For an relatively new action figure he's hard to find out of box!

A few more pics, I finished up the grey wash & gave it a couple coats of "frosted window" from Home Depot... super awesome effect, looks dusty & dry, perfect.

Added some doo-dads.. and a stock HL commander for scale. This tank is big.

Once you get the colonel action figure, and put him behind the turret you need to get some action shots......... Just push the tank off the couch and click away lol. Great scratch build I love it.

Cheers

I have an out-of-the-box Colonel Vogel figure that you can have. I originally got it for my build, (which I haven't started yet). but really wanted to get something in 1/16 scale. The man who made the Republic of Hatay decals also makes figures, and I had him make me one out of the Tamiya 1/16 Rommel figure. A link to his website is: http://www.precision-panzer.moonfruit.com/ in case anyone needs custom decals or figures. He does really good work.

I still have your address, so I'll get this in the mail in the next day or so. (Edit: Late note. I got to the Post Offiuce and mailed it this afternoon). -Mike

Fantastic!!! You could fetch a good buck for that. Not that you would sell it, but the craftsmanship is incredible
