Yes, they are the Mato steel wheels. If memory serves me right, they needed to be drilled out for the axel and bushings, then spaced to fit the panther track width.

BennyB,
That is a great looking Panther. My question is do the steel wheels have a rubber tire around them. In your pic looks like you painted the rim flat black, or is that just wear?

Jim,
The steel wheel did not have a rubber outer tire, what you see is just wear like you thought.

I don't mean to jump in on this thread but can someone help me with my Panther project? I did search but could not find an answer. I want to add the plastic steel looking road wheels to the last station only. What parts do I need and how to I mod them to fit? Thanks

I would think the HL King tiger wheels would work. Just not sure. The Tamiya Tiger II wheels should be close, but here again I do not have a HL Panther G to compair them to. There has to be someone on this site that may have a couple for you to try. You may want to try Mustclimb. He just trashed a HL Tiger II to create a E-100. He may have two Tiger II wheels left over or can point you in the right direction to get some spares, because I am not sure if he needed more then the Tiger II had or not. The AAF, Girl Tankett can get you spare Tamiya Tiger II Wheels as well. Here is their web site.....

the turret was an F turret used from asiatam widen up so the turret covers the whole turretplate , the asiatam F is to small

we used the 88mm from the king tiger onto it just like it was designed, its total weigt would be around the 50 tons

here are a few pics of mine, i bought it ,

... changed it so no comments any more or you justcan find it out on your own ... i think you understand my point jeff ...

we used the tamiya panther chassis and its kt wheels on this monster panther, 2 were made ... one was destroyed by the americans who didn't realise it was a brandnew study and test object
the glasis plate was changed of angle , the axle of the wheels were changed according the pantsertract of the panther II ... bas builded my chassis we did a lot of searchwork ... and its 90 % correct ... even rivetcounter was wondered, it was the closed Panther II model in 1/16 one could scratch ... nothing is proving ... different opinions and the original plane was destroyed too ... not much to going onto

but the result is beautiful , enjoy it

the kt track is wrong, its to wide ... kt transporttracks will be fitting better !!!
