Happy New Year and plans for 2013?
Just an early New Years Greeting and thought I'd ask everyone what plans or projects they have brewing for 2013?
I need to finish my Tamiya Panther, get back on my T34 build (but won't be doing 2 of them) and the new HL Sherman looks as though it got moved ahead of the early M4A1 I had set aside. I also have a 1/15th BANDAI HUMMEL on it's way after accepting a deal from a member right here.
I am stoked about the Hummel kit and may just go against my earlier advice and RC it with some KK tracks and the Elite Armor Aluminum wheel package I have!
I know it's not pretty right now, but it's progress. I still have left the gas panels I need to make and install and then paint it as the manlet has been finished for some time. Hopefully the turret will be finished so I can install it on top of this:
Which I also need to install the electronics too.
So, what you say? What is new for 2013 for YOU?!

Aren't those DML directions?
In terms of RC tanks, I have to finish the Kettenkrad rider, weather the StuG III and then start my Jagd IV L conversion and Trump T-34.
Problem is, with a new Lab pup in the house, bench time is near non-existent. [

Sounds like an ambitious line up of projects!
Well yes, they are DML directions as I bought the kit to build the Tamiya G after... a Late Production version, so I needed to measure the loop size and placement too, as well as any other detail items that the kit had this Panther will have too. I was going to paint it like the boxart from the 6268, but so many have already done so, even though they just painted a standard Panther and not built the Late Production.
So there is another scheme in the directions I'll shoot for.
I did use a few real photos too, just to double check the directions.
I know what you mean about raising a puppy as I did that back-to-back in 2005 and 2006 but it really didn't get in the way of my building, not like these past few years have been but I do look forward to more luck in 2013!

In terms of the dog, we choose Labs because we spend a lot of time hiking, kayaking and camping and need a pooch who can keep up. Problem is, they don't just turn it on or off, so if he doesn't get the mileage, he eats the house. He's 14 weeks and we just got back from a two hour hike and about 3 hours of sledding and snow playing, so he's zonked out for a few hours (but so am I).
That Late G is a great kit. I have a pile of photo etch for Kursk Ds with the anti-aircraft armor, but that G was the only Panther I've built so far.

All my "kids" are grown up now. One is 34 and the youngest is 23.
But here is a pic of my pride and joy. He weighs 75 pounds and is 7 years old.

Happy New Year to all. Being a newbie, I'm still acquiring my equipment. I have a HL M41 Bulldog that I will be modifying closer to scale ( following some of the mods posted here on RCU) and upgrading the electronics. I have a HL Sherman on order which I am upgrading with a Clark TK22 and a 2.4Ghz radio.
Cheers

RE: Happy New Year and plans for 2013?
Hope the new year is a better one for everyone!
Kids are gone, and the Black Lab and German Shepherd are nice enough to let the wife and I live here.
They own us, not the other way around.
My stuff is a little bigger then the norm. Just finished two 1/6th Stuarts, and a Humvee for a client, have to get around to my second Stuart, plus same guy just dropped in my lap THREE 1/9th Abrams for overhauls.... Going to be a busy year.

So what did you end up doing to the Stuarts?
I have 2 of them just collecting dust I need to get down someday.

Happy New Year to all my tank buddies... I wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2013.
I hope to meet even more of you throughout 2013. In 2014 I hope to meet many of the European tankers in Normandy for the 70th Aniversary of D-Day.

My hope for 2013 is to finally finish the five projects that I have that are complete, and only need paint. Then I would like to make some progress on five projects that are in various stages of evolution. Six more models that I really wanna do are gonna hafta wait until 2014.
