RE: Panther A/D
hi
thank you Karel :-)
@Rudy question is, what is the meaning of ready, if you want to handel the transmisiosns problem by yoursel the hull is nearly ready, just put the last details on it.so if you want only the hull it is ready after my hollydays at 10th jun i think.

RE: Panther A/D
Thanks Christian, that is good news. I am patient and can wait until the final drive is sorted out. I just wanted a estimated time so I could start saving up to buy it when the Hull is ready.

RE: Panther A/D
I'm a little uncertain about the final drive being housed in the styrene. Will it be reinforced or sleeved?

Is this kit only for HL conversion or can it be used with Tamiya as well?

Looks great!!! Can we get the metal lower hull and plastic upper?
#40
I think that is the way I would prefer the kit. Metal lower and plastic upper to allow for easier attachment of trim and cosmetic parts. it can be difficult on metal sometimes.

They look good. Can we buy them now?
#44
Thanks Chris, I need them for my A!!!

hi
normaly i would say metal is always not needed if the construktion is made right. Its always importent how you desin your hull. if you made it like the toy desin of tamiya and henglong were the lower hull is a stand alone part. mostly metal is need to get the strongness.
if you made the hull as a one piece objekt, like the original you can get the tank much stronger as with any standart metal lower hull.
the best example of it are at the moment the panther II of my Father its complet out of polysterol and uses tamiya suspension, metal roadweels, and metal tracks his waight is about 8 kilograms and he is powered with some model spigel gears by 11.1volts. thats means that his body need to widstand more forces than the most tanks will ever reach.
He is fast and havy and is always used into forest tank battels. sofar i never get trobel with the hull.
if you are in dortmund again you can see its motors and feel its waight. and everthing is in plastik :-).
by the way the same way im going to go with my 1:6 panther ;-).
