Building is simple but instructions are not always clear, just some care if you want to build workable hinges off the resin ones, and I had to lower the external tank mounts to allow full turret rotation.

That's great. Something I really wanted to ask was about the metal barrel. Is that hand made or a bought upgrade for another tank?

The barrel was a spare from the Tamiya IS-2 model I found on Axel's Modellbau site. It was easy to fit the resin muzzle brake on it.

Hi Borealis only really one question, which is about the torsion bar - was this home made or bought to suit another kit? If so could you recommend a solution?

I think you mean the axle-bar connecting the idlers: it was self built using a threaded bar inside a brass tube (mainly) plus some washers and nuts to secure the wheels.
