Herman it looks great! You've spent a lot of time and effort on it and it shows. There is starting to be a lot of good looking Stugs on here. How did it do in Danville?

Nice work Herman, hand painting that camo would have driven me to drink (more).

RE: My version of the Stug III
Thanks Guys. I had wanted to do the boxes before Danville, but didn't have the time to get them done. I think it did really well in the battles it was in. I would scrape the shurtzen off on something every once in a while (5 time all weekend), but the magnet attachments worked really well. Bob even got a kill with it on Sunday as I was packing up. I really enjoyed how it performed for me. I still got my butt handed to me quite frequently, but I looked fairly good doing it!

Well, I coulod not leave well enough alone and have done some more to the StuG. I have added steel gear boxeswith my 400 motors and taken out the monkey metal ones. And just to give myself some variety in life I made a set of the wire mesh schurtzen for it that use the same mounting system as the plate ones. They are not quite finished yet, I still have to make the faux hangers for them onto the bar and some weathering details.

Rex, I really have no idea how many are there. If we ever meet F2F I will happily let you count them if you wish.
The gearboxes are the standard HL ones only with the steel gears in them and not the monkey metal ones. I also installed my Pro Max 400 motors on them. It has been raining here, so have not been able to check the speed yet.
The wire screen schurtzen are really not that hard to make. The biggest thing is to not make them out of a really stiff material. They need to be able to move and flex.
