So this is why my 3300's didn't last long. Well, as much as I battle I don't think it's worth upgrading right now. Maybe later when fortunes are better.

Thanks for the information.

Would you suggest the 5000s for battle. What kind of time are you getting from them for battle? I have some new 3500s will they be ok? Trying to get to the NEAD battle day in May and making sure I'll be setup ok.

Ugh... rough going this morning.

Tanks are all ready, batteries charged. Now to pack up my crap and load the CR-V. 10 hour drive should get us there by 5 PM (or so) and I think I'll show up Saturday. Maybe even Friday afternoon if all goes well!

Can't wait! (hope my shoulders hold out)

Generally we battle until dinner, sometime between 5 and 6, and take a break.
Then we come back after dinner and battle til 8 or 830.
So, even if you arrive late afternoon/early evening, it can be worth your while to attend.
Even if it just means you get unloaded and checked in.
You can then start earlier on Sat.

Another note for any first timers reading this:
When you pull in to the AAFMuseum, turn to the left and pull through the gates into the back parking lot.
The entrance to the battlefield is through the garage door.
There is a security gate, so come to the gate and wave.
If the garage door is closed, then we are at dinner, and will be back soon.
If the parking lot gates are closed, then we are done for the night.

Also, bring layers of clothes.
It can be chilly in the morning, and then warm up by the afternoon.

I will be leaving tomorrow morning, and should arrive by 10:30.

Bill,

Your 3500 should last a 1-2 hours if you battle non-stop. But as Jersey Bob (thecommander) says, "Always be charging". I would probably check after 4 battles what your voltage is. If you don't have one, you can borrow mine to check. Looking forward to meeting all the new guys that have never come or I have missed meeting.

My mother-in-law is terminally ill with pancreatic caner and has just been hosptialized. I may not be able to attend.

Tony, IF I do make it, ANYTHING I have is yours to battle with or parts to borrow. Okay pal.
