Rex, for the IDF, definately the browning. In some cases the cal 50 above the main gun and a cal 30 M-1919 at the TC hatch.

It looks like the Israelis mounted everything they could get their hands on. They really know how to equip a tank!

Those crew members are dressed too warm for the hot Sinai area.. these uniforms are more sutible for eye comfort....and have been well approved at many displays.

Yeah Rex, anything they could get and modify or reassable would work. In the 50s, many WW II German Mgs were used. Now they make thier own top rate weapons that the whole world is buying.

Hi Rex
Nice build. 2 things I've noticed - the cable reel mount at the turret rear, I've only seen those mounted on the RHS of the turret, behind the T/C's cupola on NZ & OZ Cents, or is it something else?
Your 2nd shot, the side on one, the turret doesn't quite look right, either it's too far back behind the drivers position, or maybe the turret is too short?
Other than those points, it looks pretty good.
Have you been following the Armortek 1/6th builds? - http://www.armortek.co.uk/Forum3b/viewforum.php?f=23 - and an Aussie site that's good for Cent detail - http://centurion-mbt-two.synthasite.com/

AFV aficionado .....
You are correct on all counts! I have to admit I got a little careless with authentic accuracy on a couple of things. There are so many Centurion variations that I just kinda added features that looked like they wanted to be on my model. I'm going to claim that my model is sort of a composite experimental concept variation of which only one was built ......... and therefore is a historically accurate and correctly scaled model. But I did goof up a bit on the turret. I should have been more careful about that. I am thinking about correcting that and making all on the hatches and storage box covers work, along with a few other things that could have been done better. I also have to figure out the r/c gear train for the rear drive sprocket and rig it up with better track.
You do have very good eyesight and really know your Centurion details! I am always amazed at how mistakes always jump out in photographs that I don't see when I am doing my Mark 1 eyeball check prior to painting.
I didn't see the armortech site, but I was very impressed with the centurion-mbt-two website. That was a great website to explore.

RE: CENTURION !!!!!
Hi Rex
Glad you liked the sites, they are pretty good.
I'm familiar with making stuff & then finding out its' wrong & having to redo it, I'm currently working on Gun Travel Lock (GTL) mounts for 4 of my M41's, both early & late patterns, I've made about 5 versions of the mounting out of brass, but have decided to go with a brass & plastruct construct instead, as my brass bending skills still need further development.
Are you going to make a cable reel for the Cent - there's a couple of good shots of one with the handset on the Aussie site - the only time I've seen the handset attached.
Mal.

I will be correcting or improving some of the details I did when I was in a hurry and tired, Right now I need to take a break from this project and take care of some real life things that need attention.
On a side note .... My daughter spent six months in New Zealand after she graduated from college (30 years ago). She went on a barefoot/backpack tour. The people were wonderful, kind and generous. She had a great time, and only spent a total of $200 US.
Adopt me! Please! ........

I finally got motivated to paint it, and I am trying to decide about desert weathering and hanging packs and stowage all over it. I still haven't worked out the R/C part, but at least I am slowly moving towards completion.
