HL-Tiger 1: Pistol hatch
Hi guys,
today you are going to take care of the right position of the pistol hatch.
And again, there are two versions. In the next picture you see two HL turrets.
Take a look at the lower one. There the pistol hatch is positioned correctly. If you have such version, you can stop here. If not, continue reading.
The hatch at the upper one is turned 90°. That is incorrect.
To make it easy, you can by a spare hatch from different suppliers.
But changing the original one is also easy, so you can save the money.
Lets change it.
The hatch is glued to the turret. Remove carefully.
Turning it 90° into the right position is a good idea, but not enough.
The back side of it is angled according to the turret. You have to take care of it. How? I´ll show you.
Clamp a piece of grinding paper over the hatch position and grind the hatch until it has the right angle.
Remove the paper and glue the hatch back to the turret.
That´s it.
Greetings
Birger
