Default Soviet boxes, barrels etc

Im looking for diagrams/dimensions of Soviet ammo crates, fuel barrels etc etc.

Its easy to buy Allied/German doodahs at most sites but Im not having much luck finding Soviet stuff.

Anyone know of where you can buy them in 1/16 or alternatively a site with diagrams/dimensions such that I could try and make my own.

Thanks in advanve

I could take some dimensions of the barrels that came with my t-55

but I only have a ruler, no calipers

Hi Martellus

if you could get a shot of the barrel up against the ruler in a few orientations Id be very grateful.

Amm here or there makes no difference to me in the long run.......

Appreciate it....

No calipers needed if you use photogrammetry. We have been using this for ions in crash reconstruction investigation to determine sizes and lengths of tire marks and crash debris based on know dimensions of objects in a photo. The best know item is a rule for our use in crash recon we use a 2' by 2' grid placed on the road at the scene during photo documentation.

Check this link and google for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photogrammetry

This is an interesting solution when it comes to getting dimensions of items from a photo. I have never used it, but it may be useful to someone out there. I have no idea how practical it is.

Sorry I took so long. I could take pictures of the other fuel tanks and stuff for the t-55 too (like the ones on the fenders), but was not sure if you wanted them. Also sorry for using a clear ruler. It was all I had. If its too hard/annoying to read I could always make up a diagram showing the measurements.

I know it looks different but this was measured in the middle- its the perspective.

Hi Rex,

It has "Judicial Notice" which means it is acknowledged in the courts as factual. I really does work well. Neat trick too.

Thanks for the cool link.
