Very likely old news. I'll look forward to this one. Seems overdue.

OUCH ! ...... Seeing that almost hurts. I would hate to admit what I paid for the 120mm Verlinden resin model that I bought many years ago. But I will be tempted to get one of those as well ......... I don't really need another artillery piece. I have 20 already, but I guess there is always room for one more.

Rex, I feel your pain. I once bought the Verlinden kit to use as an 'upgrade' for a Bandai Hummel. Still haven't built it, and now that the Merit kit is coming out; I probably never will. But, the ONE reference to this howitzer that has always eluded me is what the range/firing table (on the left side of the breech) looks like. I have seen several partial views of it, but there always seems to be something blocking a view of the whole thing. -Mike

Mike ....
I have discovered an easy way to solve the search for details needed to complete a model to your satisfaction. Do an incredible amount of research. Build it. Paint it. After the paint is dry, you will discover so many references and detail photos that you will wonder how in heck you couldn't locate them in the first place.
It always works for me.
By comparison, the Verlinden 15cm sFH 18 kit was a piece of cake to put together. I finally finished (or gave up on) a scratchbuilt Rheinmetall 12,8cm K44 L/55 that really tested my patience and questionable skill at model building. Thankfully, I got some of it right (or at least close enough).
