this one's already modified with 540 motors and high amp dual motor ESC as well as 2.4Ghz radio system.

this tank is real fun to drive.

Do you have pics showing how you connect the high amp dual motor ESC with Heng Long electronics?

Yeah, I like the first scene where the tank appeared to be breaking before doing 180 degrees turn.

Great fun! If any tank (HL or 1/1) was worthy of being called a hot rod, it would be the M-41. Any other tank at these speeds would look preposterous.
Would love to hear not music but the slow-motion tank sounds (ambient noise) if it were possible.

Gravedig!

I've been practicing my painting skills and started in on the M41 awhile ago. I still need to finish the top of the turret, road wheels/sprockets with this wash and then work on the smaller details and the tracks. What do you guys think? Be honest, I can take criticism, I want to make my tanks look real.

If you want it to look real keep in mind that real tanks are very well maintained. You won't see a lot of rust on an active Bulldog.

I've got a whole bunch of extra center hubs for those roadwheels if you want them. If you're in the states I'll even spring for the postage.

Yeah, I guess I was going more for one that has been out of action for awhile. I'll try to make it look more dirty than rusty.

Hi Sky_hawk
Looks quite good for a standard HL M41, but if you want to go down the path to achieve the "Real M41 look" it's a long hard road.
As X19912 pointed out, Alan123's thread is a good place to start - http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-t...ore-scale.html but he didn't really address the turret problems, nor the rear hull (transmission hatches) - I've added a bit on the 2nd page.

I've seen that build and it is very impressive. I'm just after weathering right now, no plans to cut it up and fix it to exact scale. I did fix the driver periscopes, but other than that I will just be messing with paint and accessories.

Looks great! My metal tracks already broken because lack of care & maintenance. Guys at WRCTC advised me to clean it & give "oilbath" after outdoor session.

Finally finished this beast! Airbrushed it this morning and blued the tracks last week, I think it looks way good now.

Added stowage from ValueGear. Tank is almost 4 years old, how time flies! It multiplied into 5 others too.... Swapping in the latest 5.3 electronics tonight!

Hi Sky Hawk
Looks good paint & stowage wise, were you aware that IMEX has the Gun Travel Lock as part of their M41 accessory pack - http://www.taigentanks.com/taigen-pa...ssories/tag120 -
The GTL needs a slight tweak to make it more accurate - the pivot pin - but you can make that with the sprue it comes on.

This is the page here: Accessory Kit - M41 Walker Bulldog ? Taigen Tanks
The unpainted sprue is the one he speaks of. He was actually the first to get a set

Oh nice! I'm missing the small muffler too, might have to pick that kit up sometime.

Thanks Erik, not sure what went wrong with that link.

Sky Hawk
If you're interested, there are also a couple of parts on Shapeways - https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=M41&type= - corrected blower cap, rear lights, 4 bolt wheel hubs etc

Hi Bowlman
Interesting. Bundeswehr 90mm. There's no Gun Travel lock on that CAD and the cupola Vision blocks look a bit small, though that shouldn't be a problem on the HL model. Given the angle, you don't get a good look at the muzzle brake?

Cool, the MB is quite large, be interesting to see how you replicate that?
