Default New Panzer IV Lower Hull fro Asiatam and Metal Hetzer Tracks

Just saw this on Militar Modellbau. New Panzer IV Metal lower hull and Hetzer metal tracks. Translated the note on the tracks and it states they are working on metal drive sprockets for the Hetzer as well. I think I see a BlueStar Hetzer kit in my future!!!!

It's already available. http://www.asiatam.com/product_info....t6grr41a6eo2n7

Looks you need to get the Taigen running gear - road wheels, return rollers, idlers and sprockets. Not sure how it attaches to the upper hull, though. Looks like a good piece of gear.

I am trying to find metal Hetzer tracks and looked at the site. I saw the pictures but not where they are available for sale.

Those Hetzer tracks (and metal drive sprockets, eventually) are VERY good news! Whether or not that 35th rc company comes out with drive units or not, (because I can always figure that out, if I need to), durable tracks and sprockets are the real roadblock to having a decent working model. I can see a Panda PxKpfw 38(T) kit in line for this - no matter what I have to do to brace up the hull. -Mike

Saves me the hassle of drilling out the other 97 links on the Panda kit.

This was the tank related news I've been waiting for.

Really, I hope they release the Idler as well. They said they are working on a Drive sprocket. Just be cool if there is a six hole Idler!!!

Just 620 euros? I bet these Asiatam Hetzer tracks will come in at between 65 and 90 euros maybe less. Their Panzer III Tracks are only 65 euros.

Hetzer parts are supposed to be available in March or April of 2014. PzIV metal lower hull is available now.

Good follow-on question for IMEX:

When will the associated Taigen parts be available? I've seen pictures of:

Road wheels with rubber tires
Return rollers with rubber tires (the kit from Asiatam has the steel return rollers...no tires)
Ausf F/G idlers and sprockets
Metal gun tube with metal muzzle brake (Ausf F2 and G brakes)

They already have the various metal working hatches and detailing parts...in better packages that offered on the European sites, too.

Unfortunately the metal P4 chassis will have to wait from us. We have so much on the table it wouldnt make sense atm to delay current plans to get out a metal chassis. I personally wanted a P4 metal chassis as well, I was planning project for it. But, I am happy knowing much better things will be coming out for the time/money invested
As for the road wheels and tires, those will be incoming around the 23rd or 26th. They were supposed to be on the last order
The return rollers will have rubber tires as well (99% sure here, I did not get my sample, but I do have pictures)
I will check on the Ausf F/G idler wheels and sprockets later.
As for the metal barrel and muzzle brake I already have those, they are part number TAG120177. They just get bought as soon as they come in

The P4 is one of my favorite models, I haven't forgot about it, I just have a few bigger projects on the burner. I will see what I can do you for you guys after the Xmas hype has passed here at IMEX.

Does this mean that IMEX will not be getting this hull for a few more shipments? Or, that Taigen hasn't produced it yet? I'm interpreting "from us" to be IMEX and Taigen synomously. And, I think I read somewhere that the metal hull on mmodell.de isn't a Taigen product.

Any idea if these will have ball bearings in the road wheels?

I checked Artistic Hobbies and they have the idler wheels and sprockets. So, they're here. Good to know about the barrel and muzzle brake. I'll keep an eye on future shipments. Those support airsoft, right?

I do not think we will be getting a P4 metal chassis in 2014. I do not know the specifics on it yet, but I keep pestering the boss about it.

Yes ball bearings are on the P4 road wheels, I am trying to make sure all new upgrades have bearings when possible.

Yea I just got a new shipment of P4 barrels cause someone here likes to buy all my barrels at a time. I do also have the metal drive wheels/idler wheels as well as some painted plastic drive wheels in the 12097/98 color and the 12090 color. Just ask a dealer to hook you up. And yes, airsoft supported

Found a review of the Asiatam hull: http://www.rc-panzerketten-forum.eu/...threadid=36180. Looks pretty good overall...a few accuracy issues with the front two brackets. Anyone see any other reviews?
