I wish I could create weathering and detail like this!

I looks great. If only we could do the work then shrink it...LOL. Just remember that is 1/6 scale not 1/16 and much easier to work with. Just like the advantage we have over the1/35 scale modelers.

Very nice, and I think this sets the bar for 1/16 scale modelers as well. I believe this individual could do the same thing in 1/16 scale as well. 1/16 is large enough to go to this level of detail if you wanted, including the leaves on the floor.
On scale there comes a point where being larger actually gets harder. On larger scales the eye demands the detail that smaller scales can imply. Take photo etching for instance, At the larger scale the thickness of photoetch metal cannot be enough. Where we can get by with a photo etched buckle the larger scale guys cannot.
In my opinion 1/16 scale is probably the very best scale to work in, and we should look at this example of what could be done in our scale as well.

thing about weathering and details is just patience. I think most have the skills to do this work but we all lack patience and that is the key, taking your time and not rushing through something will elevate your work tremendously

Ausf got me some super 1/16 leaves. Very realistic. I am really looking forward to this winter in the workshop. There are so many talented guys out there...thanks for sharing it with your fellow RCU members
