Default Same LEDs, different use.

I took the extra orange and red LEDs I use with the apples and put them in a 1/48 Sturmovik fighter cockpit for a fire effect. I may try something like this on the T-34 hit indicators.

Were you using a Lipo in that thing

With the Benedini you can program it to flash LEDs when a certain sound is played. I placed red and orange LEDs in the back of a tank, and when the destroyed sound is played this came on and alternately flashed. I was thinking of some tinsel and a fan to kick on to give a leaping flame look. You can do this with the Benedini if you wanted. It can turn on a small fan and run it. Just for some ideas.

If you are interested PM me and I can walk you through the programming.

Evan Designs has a set of LED's called fire that does that also, and blinks to resemble the flame movement. I use it in my LVT4 for when it gets hit.

Watch what Herman is doing guys...he has some great ideas coming down the pipeline. Now that he is retired he is fiddling with all kinds of neat stuff.

Adding PWM dimming on some sort of timer would probably finish out a "fire" effect with LED's, at least IMO. The on/off in one display I saw still looked pretty decent, but having the lighting dim in and out would probably make it look about as realistic as possible, at least with LED's.

Not nearly talented enough to do something like time PWM, but I've played around with PWM on LED's, and I would think it could be used to great benefit for the fire effect.

Years ago I did this from scratch with interweb schematics, I guess it could be arranged in chaotic way, doesn't have to be a circle.
