We will check the lower hull, as I was holding the T-90 lower hull... They do look the same or at least very much in common, but not for 100% sure...

I found that the main difference between a HL standard tank and the T-72 is that the latter is assembled through the use of a large amount of small screws, where a HL is made of mainly glued parts.

What is a rough figure on the number of kits needed and a rough cost on the kits, although I can see that they will probably vary widely in price for the kits.

Some update on the part work... Turret and main gun is on its way to be completed. The plastic is ok, parts are being assembled without any complications.

Tracks are ok, not good not bad. But I wud say there is room for improvement. Put them on my Bizonul, for tests.

I wud encourage all producers to think about upgrades for T-72. There's a lot to be replaced.

The space for turret gear is big, bigger every and wider than in ZTZ-99.

yes and no, as standard HL mechanisms will not fit to it. Even the turret gear you will have to work out the lower part of turret if you want to use standard HL ZTZ turret ring.

Gearboxes are Not ready yet. Suspension will be plastic, no torsion bars.

I truly hope this will be the next new release by someone. After i get my Abrams then hopefuly the Challenger will be ready for release. We would really need a 72 or 90 to have a complete modern battle field. anything modern from Russia would sell in good numbers. A T-64 or even a T-80 would be cool too but they need to do the T-72 at a very minimum.

Hello Hal,
the final request from DeAgostini was to have an interface allowing to connect the original electronics to any kind of transmitter (and not just the original custom one), and not to replace the whole set with a new single board.
Therefore Ivano just designed a custom interface board for such purpose and sold them the project.
Production will be in China, but it will be DeA's responsibility.
My suggestion anyway is to replace the proposed electronics with a multi-function board of any kind among the available ones.
BTW looks like the kit is selling very well, after some initial trouble due to the lowered value of the Ruble.

Thanks so much for the reply... Awesome!
Good to know what they finally put inside...

But what does it mean?

Partwork it self is being sold quite good as I feel, but a lot of being sold as subscription. Very smart step.

The kit is selling rally well in Russia (as hoped), which will lead more releases of the kit worldwide and possibly more tank models in the future.

That's also GOOD to Hear. And the pending Hen Long T-90 release is also GOOD to Hear.
There was talk awhile back that Trumpeter was going to release a Static 1/16 scale model of a T-72 but I haven't heard anything on it lately nor is it listed in Their "Upcoming Releases."

As information, I just read on the DeAgostini UK forum that the 1/16 scale T-72 tank will be available in the UK starting either Mid December or January 2017. Can its offering in the USA be not far behind (2018)?

Here's a link. I hope it works.....,
