Hi

no Problem. I m happy you got it in time .

How is your Löwe going on?

Ok. I have desoned the mous hull with scale armor so if you are resly interestened i will cut the protptyp this week. But its only a emty hull, suspension and trandmision is the job of the custumer.

I think more people would be interested in the Maus( your current project looks great ). As with any rc tank the wheels and tracks are the tough part. For the wheels I think I would use some panzer 3 or 4 wheels and to get a 1100mm wide track I would cut up some panther tracks ( 650mm wide)....I don't think I would even bother with suspension as most of the pictures of the proto type looked like it was not doing anything anyway.

hi

wich tank the 4502, jes it is the same as at the 4501 and elefant, but the mous was in real live completly diverent, sure the suspension was desined by Porsche too but has nothing todo with the 4501 and 4502 desin.
The mouse suspension was similar not the same suspension as at the Porsche Jagtiger.

hehe, thats not my job, my job is to create solide basic stuff for modelers like you, but i have own tanks for me too.

like that.
Porsche tiger and hie Battel budy Tiger 1

my first full metal elefant

my Löwe, cromwell and Fuelsuply Truck in the battel

one of my first jagdpanthers build out of a pantiger

something completly diverent a suer persching :-)

a suport vehicle for ouer battels the sws

and many more,

like standart HL panther, Panzer Iv, Tiger HL ....

the next two tanks geting combat ready are my Panther II and the Comet, you see I have finisched a lot. but my problem is, I draw and cut faster new products as im able to build together for me. thats why you see alot of projekts unfinisched sofar, and the other problem is, i do not knew were to park them all hehe.

Chris, I have a lot of space at my house to 'park' your tanks in case you need

But please complete all kits currently work in progress (like the sws) before putting new ones in work

hi

:-)

the sws? it is ready :-).

look here, this is one example from a custumer build, he just used the parts from my side.

I understand the confusion about that, my goel is mostly not creatig complet kits like Tamiya, i try to make it posible for evferyone to creat his own tank for less or maybe stepp by stepp of the price of an Tamiya Tank.

so for the sws the Product side ist mostly ready, in the future i will only add the unarmored Driver kabin, the Armored Back for the rocketlouncher, A manual how to create your own Front axis out of existing parts, and to the end some plug n play roadweels.

We just triing to mould ouer own Roadweels in rubber, so if this is sucesfull, the sws will get his own scale ruber tire. thats a real problem at the moment.

i wish i could work on each projekt like everymodele will do normaly, but cuting and drawing for my custumers is placing in front of everthing and than my own models comes.

Yup, best for the battlefield would be the Nebelwerfer version: it would be possible to put an IR battlesystem inside that and play on the field.

I built an e-100 from one of chris's kits, they are good stuff!
link so you can see what you get..

...........Started converting numbers for the maus last night....started to cut out the 4 huge side plates(2 inner and 2 outer) and came across something that makes it even harder to make a more or less 1/16 scale maus. the inner hull where you put the motors is only around 72mm wide(less than 3 inches).....

I think a solution might be to modify the final shaft of some standard HL gearbox in order to make it come out on the same side as where each motor is, and to put those modified gearboxes into the hull with some pitch. The 2 motors are meant to stay directly above the tracks, with this solution.
I don't know if I made myself clear, tough.

Interesting........I was thinking of one motor/gearbox in the front and one in the rear...just change the wireing.....

hi

i have done some testing with the mouse

in the midel there is no much space thats right, but with a changed gerabox it should be posible to but both gears in the back, but your idea makes it much easyer.

look here.

this was the track i was talking about earlyer, it fits nearly perfect into the hull

Looks like there is enough space in the middle for 2 gearboxes, provided the motors lie outwards.
Those tracks look fine too.
But now I wonder how much stress will lie on the sprocket teeth: that part has to be very strong.

hi

yes the teeth looks fine but thay are realy strong, i do not knew the name of the plastik, but this track links are realy strong, im sure that this will not bracke.

about the space, 2 gerboxes will fit well, only problem is to get them in, this will be a bit triky because of the axis going outside lol

I think than one way to fit them is that you put a bearing attached to the side walls of the hull. That will work as the outer support of the drive shaft.
Then remove the outer bushing of the drive shaft from one of the gearboxes (you need to remove it just from the 2nd one) and cut the hole as an open slot in order to let the final gear slide in. Keep the inner support bushing of the drive shaft in place.
Then:
1-Insert one final drive axle
2-Insert the other gearbox complete with its drive axle
3-Slide in the 2nd gearbox over the 1st drive axle, and plug its end into the inner bushing.

The fit is tight but you might succeed.

A second possible solution is to cut the hole on one side of the hull as a vertical slot. Insert the 1st complete gearbox in the circular hole, then insert the 2nd gearbox into the cutted slot and drop it down.

Edit: a small picture to explain the 2nd solution.
